Rectangular (Laboratory) and circular (Auditorium) four-story reinforced concrete structure with full height atrium and bridge connecting two structures. Unique project features: exposed structural steel truss wall and roof trusses at the atrium space. Restrictive vibration and user adaptability requirements led to conventional reinforced concrete flat plate, concrete shear wall and column framing on the laboratory portion. Larger auditorium space in the circular building dictated the use of cantilevered radial deep beam with fewer columns at the building core with the post tensioned flat slab framing to the outer circumferential columns.
