This was a very unique project as there were several structural components used in the design of this project. This "composite" church structure design consists of Foundations; Slab-on-grade, Concrete Masonry Unit or (CMU) walls, Concrete Beams, glue-laminated timber beams, steel columns and beams, steel trusses, metal deck, timber trusses and plywood deck.

St. Dominic Monsignor Crowe Community CenterPanama City Beach, FL

The Saint Dominic Monsignor Crowe Community Center is a multi-purpose community center with offices and classrooms, kitchen, Parrish hall and a gymnasium located in Panama City Beach, FL. The building has four roofs that are framed with structural steel and steel bar joists supporting a metal deck. The Parrish Hall utilizes long-span glue laminated timber beams supporting a timber deck to clear span the open space. The building is expected to be supported on shallow foundations, though deep foundations are being explored due to differential settlement concerns.

St. Paul Catholic ChurchPensacola, FL

This "composite" church structure consists of ICF Concrete walls, custom designed glue-laminated timber trusses, steel columns and mezzanine framing, and 4" x 6" tongue and groove decking with a 40 ft unbraced floor to ceiling height.

Sacred Heart Cathedral Addition and RenovationsPensacola, FL

The Sacred Heart Cathedral renovation presented a unique set of challenges including demolishing existing walls including a massive arch, and a full circle in existing brick. A choir loft was demolished, and relocated and designed with structural steel

The Sacred Heart Cathedral Addition included a 3,500 square foot expansion constructed with Concrete Masonry Units (CMU) walls, with wood trusses designed to match and extend the extents of the building.

St. Ann Catholic ChurchGulf Breeze, FL

The structural concept of the bracketed wood trusses balancing on brick columns allows for a soaring ceiling arranged over the asymmetric seating arrangement. This structure is a steel frame clad with wood on load bearing masonry wall with a curved roof. The cross is cut of the wall and features brick arches.
